Founded in 2012, the Institute for Social Sciences and Humanities (Iran Academia University) emerged in response to infringements on the Right to Education, academic freedom, and the autonomy of universities in the realm of Social Sciences in Iran. Based in The Netherlands, our institution leverages a vast global network of faculty and staff. Our mission is to foster critical thinking and empower Persian-speaking and multilingual youth by providing access to uncensored, high-quality knowledge.

We are proud to present the International Conference on Contemporary Iranian Studies (ICCI), an initiative of Iran Academia. Since its inception in 2018, the ICCI has been a platform for dialogue and discovery. The third ICCI will take place in Goethe University in Frankfurt on 22 and 23 August 2024, featuring live interpretation in both Persian and English.

Attendance Conditions

1. To attend this conference, you must first register (Entrance is free for all).
2. This conference is held on campus (In-Person).
3. In the following exceptional cases, speakers can participate in the panel online and present their discussion
4. 1. Retired academics and researchers who are unable to earn travel reimbursement from their institution or research center or those with medical constraints.
   2. The speaker has been unable to obtain an entry visa to the Germany in due time.

• Notification of Paper Acceptance Deadline: 15 July 2024

1. To attend the ICCI 2024 conference, it is mandatory for everyone to register and obtain a ticket. The ticket can either be on a mobile phone or printed. During the registration process, it is imperative that you enter your name and surname exactly as they appear in your official valid identification document (resident permit, passport, ID card, or driving license is accepted). 
2. Once the registration is complete, you will be added to the list of attendees and will receive updates about ICCI 2024 in your email. 
3. To make sure you do not miss out on any important updates, please add communication@iranacademia.education to your contacts and check your spam folder regularly.
