Melanie Klinkner

Dr Melanie Klinkner is Professor of international law at Bournemouth University and, together with Dr Ellie Smith, author of the Bournemouth Protocol on Mass Grave Protection and Investigation. She is an expert on missing persons, mass graves and the right to the truth. Presently she is working on a Leverhulme funded project to explore the merit of open source mass grave mapping. Since February 2021 she serves as a member of the ‘Panel of Experts on Missing Persons’ for the ICMP. At Bournemouth University she teaches public international law, international criminal law and international human rights law.
