Mitra Saffari is an Industrial Engineer, graduated from Isfahan Technical university “Sanaati Isfahan” and a certified Program Management Professional (PMP), with more than 20 years of experience in Program Management. She has been working in Public Transit projects in Consulting Engineering and Construction firms in Toronto since 2002.
Beyond her professional career, Mitra is actively engaged in anti-oppression, human rights and peace activism. She is deeply committed to amplifying the voices of marginalized and underprivileged people. To support this mission, she has designed and delivered a twelve-session, year-long Peace Workshop series in Toronto, Canada dismantling structures of oppression and exploring how privileges contribute to creating unequal power relations and an unjust society.
Mitra believes that fostering peace begins with sensitivity and responsivity to the suffering of marginalized and underprivileged communities and supporting their struggles through actions across interpersonal, social, cultural, environmental, and political spheres rooted in ethics of care.
