The Institute for Social Sciences & Humanities also known as Iran Academia is proud to announce that its Social Studies Programme has been granted international accreditation by the International Accreditation Council for Global Development Studies and Research (IAC/EADI) for the period June 2026 – May 2031.
IAC/EADI is a recognized international accreditation body in the field of Development Studies, contributing to quality assurance in higher education worldwide and is a member of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education. The QA standards and criteria used by IAC/EADI are state of the art and in line with the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area as issued by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).
The accreditation follows a rigorous international peer-review process, including a comprehensive self-evaluation, review of academic documentation and dissertations, and a two-day site visit by an independent panel of distinguished international scholars and higher education experts.
In its final decision, IAC/EADI commended the programme’s strong academic quality, distinctive mission, dedicated faculty, innovative online learning environment, and meaningful contribution to expanding access to higher education for learners facing political, cultural, economic, or institutional barriers.
This achievement complements the programme’s existing European Qualifications Framework EQF/NLQF Level 7 (Master’s level) qualification, further strengthening the international recognition of Iran Academia’s academic standards and commitment to quality assurance.
While celebrating this achievement, Iran Academia also welcomes the panel’s recommendations for further development and remains committed to continuous improvement, academic excellence, and expanding access to high-quality social sciences and humanities education.
