“Constitutional Crisis, The Third Constitution”
27th Episode of the Woman, Life, Freedom Forum in Cologne, Germany
• When we talk about the successive crises in Iran—from politics to the economy, from culture to the environment, from the Islamic Republic’s relationship with the Iranian people to its relationship with the world—why do we talk less about the crisis of the constitution?
• Isn’t the constitution, based on which absolute power and ownership of almost all public property are vested in one person, the bedrock and foundation of all these crises?
• How can we talk about a “super-crisis” without questioning the legal basis of the ownership and decision-making system? • Have any of these, the Supreme Court, Farah Izadi, a group of experts, or foreign governments, been able to preserve Iranian society and guide it to a prosperous future?
• What is the prospect of a prosperous future for Iran? What can sustain Iranian society and lead it towards a future of democracy, freedom, justice, development, prosperity, human dignity, and solidarity?
On Friday, March 28, we will discuss these and other related questions in a program with Sedigheh Vasmaghi and Kazem Kardavani.
