The years after the Green Movement in Iran are the era of the formation of a new generation of protest movements that no longer want to reform the government and mark the complete transformation of the political system. The movement of Woman, Life, Freedom, which took shape in the disillusioned society without changing horizons, was very unique and original. Despite the government’s bloody suppression, the protest movement that started in September 2022 with the death of Mahsa Amini, led to an unprecedented political crisis. This time, the activists knew very well what they were against, without being able to propose a new horizon to the society in the form of a political project. The purpose of the article is to critically read the unfinished protest movements that, despite their expansion, could not bring large masses to the streets around a collective idea and brought meaningful political changes.
