Atfeh Chaharmahalian, a poet, writer, and literary activist, is one of the prominent contemporary voices in Persian literature, whose works are known for their profound, critical, and humane perspective on social and cultural issues.
In addition to her work in the fields of poetry and fiction, she is also known as an advocate of freedom of expression and the rights of writers.
A member of the Iranian Writers’ Association, Chaharmahalian has always strived to preserve freedom of thought and expression in literature.
However, due to her cultural and literary activities, she has faced various pressures and restrictions. Her works, which are rooted in her social concerns and lived experiences, reflect resistance and perseverance against oppression and censorship.
She has published several poetry collections in which she expresses existential, social, and political issues in powerful and poetic language.
Chaharmahalian’s poems are of particular importance not only in terms of form and style, but also in terms of content, and have managed to find a special place among literary audiences and critics.
Today, Atefeh Chaharmahalian, as a writer in exile, continues her literary activities and keeps the voice of freedom and truth alive through poetry and writing.
