The emphasis of this lesson is Jürgen Habermas’s book “Legitimation Crisis.” By working on this book, we learn a series of fundamental concepts for analyzing the modern situation of society. Capitalism, “late” capitalism, social systems, crisis, and legitimacy are some manifestations. Our discourse is not purely theoretical and is not limited to so-called advanced societies. We will explore how the discussed concepts can help us understand the situation in Iran.
