Negar Rezvani is a young Iranian poet and political refugee. In 2013, she sought asylum in Australia. Negar was forced to live in an offshore processing prison in the middle of the Pacific Ocean for over six years and is currently living with a community detention visa in Australia, deprived of work and study permits. Her first interview was published in The Guardian while she was still detained. Her first poem “My dear prison officer” was featured in The Red Room Poetry and has been shared at the International Theatre Festival “Auawirleben”.
