The Freedom of Thought Journal is a bilingual publication of the Association for the Freedom of Thought. According to its constitution, the Association includes academics, researchers and independent scholars committed to upholding freedom of thought and expression, providing critical analyses of social problems, and supporting social and human sciences in Iran. Helping to promote free, systematic, and enlightening dialogues and debates among Iranian scholars and intellectuals, at home and abroad, is a fundamental objective of the Association and its Journal. We also welcome contributions by non-Iranian scholars on the same themes related to Iran and its neighboring countries.
We are currently witnessing a momentous crisis in Iranian politics and society, one that demands critical attention as stipulated by the principles and goals of the Association and our Journal. We call on you to contribute a paper to the special issue (No. 13) of the Freedom of Thought Journal that will be devoted in its entirety to analyses and viewpoints on the “Women, Life, Freedom” movement. We are seeking papers that focus on the fundamental problems of Iranian society related to or raised by this historic movement, analyze its causes, and explore its potential outcomes. We are also planning to pursue some of the issues raised by the contributors to this special issue in future issue of the Journal.
As a bilingual Journal, we welcome submissions in either Persian or English. The deadline for the receipt of manuscripts for the special issue is February 28, 2023 (9 Esfand 1401). Submitted manuscripts will be peer reviewed and evaluated in accordance with common academic standards of scholarly language, systematic analysis, and proper documentation of sources used.
