Iain Byrne is the head of the Economic, Social and Cultural Rights team and Deputy Programme. He is the Director of the Global Thematics Initiative Programme at Amnesty International and a Fellow at the Human Rights Centre of the University of Essex. He holds an LLB from the University of Manchester and a MA in Human Rights Law from the University of Essex. He obtained his diploma in advanced human rights law from the University of Turku.
