In relation to the title of this note, it should be seen whether the characteristics that we have heard about “Jamaat” (Islamic congregation) from Tönnies and Plesner are also present in radical Islam or not? These characteristics include interdependence, spiritualism, devotion to religion (especially at the political level), idealism, retrospect, authoritarianism, support for the ruling power, the necessity of the existence of a ruling person and belief in genuine sovereignty, centralism, the existence of emotional and submissive relationships between people, and futurism. In the following, we will follow these characteristics about Islam and Islamism, so that the collectivism of Islamic movements becomes clearer.
