Musa Barzin was born in Tehran. He received his bachelor’s degree from the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in the field of law and his master’s degree in criminal law and criminology from the University of Tabriz. Between 1378 and 1392, he worked as a lawyer. He left Iran in 2013 and currently works with various human rights organizations abroad as a consultant and legal expert.
